"So do you, Jack Steele. Any way, how is it going with the translations?", Morbus says to no one in particular.

Shara decides to pass some time at the inn, while waiting for the others. She goes to her room and starts tending to her gear. She repairs tears and holes and so forth.

While engaging in this (very interesting) activity, she talks a bit to Osmus. He mainly complains about her choice of new companions, while she tries to put the whole Sandpoint-puzzle together.

Shara spends a little time in the common room, acquainting herself with some of the villagers that let slip a few rumors.

A pretty young girl in expensive jewelry and a very low-cut dress explain that Sheriff Hemlock shares a long-running, “secret” romance with Lady Kaye, madam of the town brothel, and an enthusiastic Buddy warns you not to go down to the junktoss after dark: goblins steal the trash at night.

Shara is still back at the inn.

Shara heads out to meet the others.

"Maybe Shara has some new rumours or leads."
Jack goes back towards the inn and meets Shara halfway.

[Admin]

Shara meets up with the rest of you outside Sandpoint Savories, a bakery on Main Street. On the way there, she spots the sheriff riding out of town.

"So. All I got was Buddy telling me than goblins steal trash at night and that the sheriff is being intimate with some lady. What about you?"

"Nothing concrete. But the book mentioned something about runelords." Jack shows her his notes on the translation.

[Admin]

Shathys contemplates this for a moment. "Two choices to be made and only one way out."

"We can either go to the dump. Get some leads on goblins. Perhaps capture for interrogation. Or we could follow the sheriff. I would not split up, but if needed I can stick to the shadows and move fast alone. I could possibly follow the sherriff. Something doesnt ring right with him heading out of town late in the day. Especially after the attack."

Shathys pauses and hunkers down on his haunches, the blindfold gently flowing in the breeze.

"What say you?" Shathys says to his companions.

Jack frowns. "I'm not much for splitting up outside of the town, I'd rather we asked the mayor if the sheriff has any business outside."

[SigneGT]

"The trash stealing is at night anyways, so let's just head to the mayor."

[Admin]

"Yes indeed," Shathys says. "That sounds reasonable."

Jack strolls towards the mayor.

[Admin]

You arrive at the town hall where a young secretary greets you.

'Can I help you?' she asks.

[Admin]

"We would like to see the mayor." Shathys says simply.

[Admin]

'Certainly,' she says and gets up. She leads you up a flight of stairs and to the room you were in yesterday. She knocks on the door. 'Miss Mayor? There are visitors who would like to speak with you.'

Mayor Deverin's voice is slightly muffled by the door. 'Thank you, dear. You can let them in.'

The secretary opens the door and leaves.

"Mayor," Jack says and gives a stiff nod. "This might seem paranoid but sometimes it pays off, what business does the sheriff have outside of town?"

[Admin]

She looks confused for a moment. 'Well,' she says. 'He has business in Magnimar. He's going there to find armed men to reinforce our own town guard until we know how dangerous the goblin threat is. As I believe he told you not an hour ago.'

[Admin]

Shathys ponders this for a moment. "Which way is it to Magnimar?"

[Admin]

'Straight west,' she says.

[Admin]

"Shara, which way did the sheriff leave town?" Shathys asks.
