Shara is obviously hurt and she is pissed off. She lifts her staff and it starts shining.
The light gets brighter and brighter and at some point it forms a ray. The ray is pointing directly at the raven guardian and you hear a crackling sound like a fire burning.

Shathys takes a step back to recuperate, breathing heavily, shathys concentrates for a moment, breathing slowly, ignoring the birds around and trying to focus on the demon.

As your attacks batter the raven, and Shara's ray of dazzling energy cuts a fist-sized hole through its side, it lets out an enraged, deafening screech that saps the power from your limbs and makes you stagger. Jack manages to shrug off its effects with a shudder, but the creature whirls on the spot, catching Jack by surprise and tears bloody chunks from his chest and stomach.

Shathys: 15/28 HP - AC 17, F 17, R 15, W 11. Blinded. Weakened.
Raven Guardian: 50/130 HP - AC 18, F 17, R 18, W 18. Bloodied.

Shara takes a deep breath and tries to ignore her pain. Once again she forms a chaosy bolt in her hands and gets ready to fire it at the Raven.
The bolt flies right past the bird and hits a nearby wall.

Shathys reaches behind him, pulling out the last sun rod, and wrapping his chain around it slowly, making out the figure of the blurry demon.
"Your beak will make a fine trophy, Craven god." Shathys snarls as he moves forward and aiming carefully, throws with all his might, breaking through the blinding flurry of ravens and connecting solidly in the demon's chest before whipping the chain around and slamming the sun rod deeper.

The sunrod pierces the creature's chest, glowing with light so bright that it sets the creature's black feathers afire. It bursts into white, searing flames, and as it screams in pain and rage, it explodes in a cloud of black, razor-sharp feathers that slice through armor as if it wasn't there.
The flames die along with the creature, and it falls to the ground in a smoldering heap. Something small, green and shiny lies half-buried in the pile of feathers, bones and some kind of thick, black fluid.

- Attaching a sunrod to your weapon to make the attack Radiant is really clever, so I'll allow it. With the 10 extra damage, it takes him to exactly 0 hp. Immediate Reaction to reaching 0 HP: Death Screech against Jack, Shathys and Shara. 23, 23 and 23 (the hell?) vs. Fort. 3 hits! 8 shadow damage.

Although feeling a bit roughed up, Shara seems to be a bit better off than the guys. Letting out a big sigh of relief, she goes to examine the body of the previously statue - bird.

"That...was not fun...I cannot believe you talked me into coming back down here." He mumbles to no one in particular.
Shathys moves forward to examine the remains, and idly takes a black feather and slides it into his dreadlocks, a long black plume contrasting against the white hair.

Amidst the feathers and black goop, you find several interesting things. A pair of emeralds - probably the creature's eyes - each worth 75 gold, a black raven beak the size of an arm, and what appears to be a complete human skeleton.

Jack relays what he finds. "We should also burn the remains, make sure the emeralds aren't possessed by the spirit and hope that Shathys' hair doesn't get haunted via his dashingly handsome feather there." Jack looks intently on both of his companions.

As you run, you catch brief flashes of something out of the corner of your eye. A tall, skeletal man holding a pair of gleaming knives. A small, crying girl. A furry, red creature with panicked eyes. The figures flicker and fade out when you turn to look at them. A man's laughter, twisted and manic, follows you up the stairs.
