Shathys unrolls his bedroll and devours some of his rations from his pack, lying back and squinting in the light.

"I think I preferred the darkness downstairs."

After a few minutes, the rumbling and creaking from the dungeon reaches a crescendo. A translucent figure appears before the entrance. Katie, the little girl from the vision, her face streaked with tears. She's clutching a small fox in her arms. A tall, skeletal figure appears behind her, covered in shadow even in the noon light. The Sandpoint Butcher. He reaches out with a long-fingered hand and roughly grabs hold of Katie's hair. With his other hand he produces a long, gleaming carving knife and traces a bloody line across Katie's pale cheek. She shows no reaction except for a brief widening of her lost, sad eyes.

A long horizontal slash appears in the Butcher's face, and raw, hissing words emerge from it. 'Thank you for leaving me with my plaything, heroes. Eternity will be most enjoyable.' After a pause, he adds: 'For me.'

The figures fade, and with a sudden booming crash, the doors to the dungeon slam shut. The entrance twists and bends before suddenly and violently collapsing in on itself until nothing remains except a few specks of dust.

As the dungeon collapses in on itself, Shathys roars in defiance. Battering his fists against the door.

"We should have done something! We should have helped her!"

Shathys continues to batter the door until he hears a crack from his left hand, his left index finger breaking from the force.

"Son of a bitch!" Shathys gasps, sinking to the floor in pain and exhaustion, the battle and event taking it's toll finally.

Jack's hand grips Shathys' shoulder. "We'll find a way, my friend. Even if it'll be hundreds of years from now. We'll find a way."

"I'll kill that bastard with my own hands." Shathys growls.

"Thank you, Jack." Shathys rises and bandages his left hand, lying on his bedroll.

"Violence and death are nothing unusual to me. But that corruption of innocence. That will not go unpunished, She deserves her rest." Shathys says aloud. "Not even the Shadowfell has gone that far."

To shocked to say anything, Shara just cries silently. This was not the kind of adventuring she wanted, they didn't even save that little girl. She is disappointed, in herself, in their effort.

She clenches her fist and mumbles. "We WILL do something, it cannot be like this".

"Until we find a way back inside that dimension we'll have to wait. I have a feeling it requires some serious mojo to power such a gateway, so much that we won't find it in these backwater villages." Jack sits down with a thud. "let's bide out time and focus on getting back to the village." He closes his eyes and meditates again.

You set up camp, wait for night to fall, and after a good night's rest you awake.

He sits listening to the sounds of the wind and ocean.
